Globulo

Inspired by titles such as Hollow Knight, Metroid, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, and Pokémon. Globulo is a Metroidvania blended with Bullet Hell elements. Hand-drawn, Globulo invites you to immerse yourself in a strange microscopic world corrupted by infections that threaten the world!

Globulo offers an immersive experience with an exciting storyline:

You embody Bop, a small Leucobot in search of meaning. Following a mysterious event jeopardizing his life, Bop realizes how ephemeral life can be. Reflecting on his mortality, our little hero realizes he never truly knew what he wanted to do with his life... It's time for him to take his destiny into his own hands!

After receiving a mysterious power, Bop can awaken Globulos, incredible creatures with mystical powers. Bop then embarks on a dangerous quest to rid the world of the looming threat... Along his journey, Bop will encounter many new, endearing companions and evolve alongside them.

Explore every corner of this world and be carried away by the narrative. However, you'll have to combat monsters throughout your journey. To do so, you must form a team.

Globulos are at the heart of the story and gameplay: Choose up to 3 different Globulos in your globulex and summon them! Each Globulo has an active and passive ability. Use their powers in combination to create an unique team that suits your playstyle! Each combination makes the experience unique and tailored to your adventure. There will be up to 40 Globulos to find throughout the game, allowing for immense creativity.

In addition to Globulos, Bop can modify his stats using Data Blocks. Each Globulo utilizes Bop's stats differently, offering even more possibilities. Do you like dealing massive damage? Opt for a burst build! Do you prefer speed? Opt for a dash-based build. There's one more feature regarding the Data Block... But it will be up to you to discover it...

Speaking of dash, as mentioned earlier, Globulo is a Metroidvania, so Bop can unlock powerful abilities throughout his journey:

• Phase Rush: Bop's dash allows him to accelerate quickly for a short time and pass through organic matter. Phase Rush also allows Bop to pass through certain walls.
• SP Boost: After dashing, Bop can sprint, facilitating exploration and allowing him to access inaccessible areas.
• Proto Laser: Leucobots naturally have a laser to defend themselves from external threats, and Bop's is particularly formidable.
   

A Berrycteria is a fruit found only in the world of Globulo. They are generally delicious and often have very interesting effects. To complete your build, you will have the opportunity to purchase Berrycteria from various merchants. Equip up to 4 and discover their fantastic effects.

 

The world of Globulo is vast, consisting of 6 distinct worlds:

The first is Yzillru. This world is somewhat secluded compared to the others. It was once a calm and peaceful world, but a terrible infection has disrupted this peace and the Ploops who lived there peacefully. This world serves as a tutorial for the player; the enemies are simple, allowing the player to become familiar with the controls and mechanics of the game. They will also be much more guided than in the other worlds, where exploration will be more free.

Caminaele, a world of scarlet color, harbors a terrible infection. Here, you will encounter new comrades and face new challenges!

Vimbrum... A world as calm as it is unsettling. Discover the secret behind this calm and fight to save this world!

Glopeth, a jungle of lush life at the heart of the 6 worlds. Most living beings go to Glopeth to discover the capital of the universe and its wonders. However, the uninhabited areas of Glopeth are formidable; venture forth with caution...

Uxxa, the headquarters of the Leucobots. Where a mysterious server resides...

The final world will be a combat arena! Numerous diverse challenges await you there, such as:

• A boss rush including all bosses and mini-bosses
• A boss rush with only 1 HP!
• Exclusive bosses and enemies
• And more...
   

All these worlds and Globulos... We definitely need enemies to fight now:
The enemies in Globulo all possess varied patterns that make them each unique. They create a stimulating combat experience, where Bop must react quickly while carefully observing his opponent and resources to succeed in defeating his enemies. Since the game does not have adjustable difficulty, the enemies offer patterns that must be learned and examined to overcome. There will be a wide variety of different enemies, all with unique gameplay mechanics and polished animations.

What would a game be without iconic bosses? Globulo will offer you the chance to defeat the threats looming over this universe, with epic battles set to incredible music. Use your abilities and combos to the fullest to overcome these gigantic monsters.

During your journey, you won't only encounter enemies! You'll meet valuable allies who will be of crucial assistance:

Beep!
A small Leucobot much like Bop, she has been working at Yzillru for a long time and knows every nook and cranny. She knows the place so well that she's bored to death; her greatest dream is to be able to travel the world like Bop. You'll encounter her often throughout the adventure, and she'll provide you with very useful information about the places you'll visit.

Bzoo and Bza!
Bzoo (the little blue one) is Bop's childhood friend; he's found himself a girlfriend since then, but things aren't all rosy. Despite his love for her, he struggles to live with her, leading to frequent arguments. Prove that you're a good friend and help poor little Bzoo solve his problems!

Ybris!
Ybris is a mysterious being with a hive mind, meaning he has several bodies scattered across the world. Find his bodies to restore the strength of the great Ybris, and in return, he'll give you valuable gifts.

Grade! (yes he's a tardigrade)
You'll encounter Grade at the very beginning of the game; he'll help you get acquainted with combat. Grade, on the other hand, is an explorer who traverses the world in search of his presumed missing brother. Will he be able to find him?

There are many other friends you can make along your journey. Evolve and progress with them, providing the help they need.

His remarkable skills breathe life into the universe of Globulo, and I'm continually awestruck when he sends me his compositions.

"I grew up playing a lot of games as a kid, and throughout my years in school I spent a lot of time playing in many different musical ensembles of varying genres. When I got to college, I decided that my goal was going to be to write music for video games, thus combining two passions. It's been a really fulfilling journey, and it fills me with a lot of joy to know that I can have a hand in projects that resonate with people. Globulo takes inspiration from a lot of games that I've played before, so creating music and sounds for it has been a really fun journey so far."
